A big hi and hello to all of you out there! Thank you for stopping by Jenny Sun Photography's blog! This is my brand new blog space! So please make yourself at home, and have a good browse around. There is plenty more to come so check back often :) Just in case any of you are wondering who on earth I am, my name is Jenny Sun. I own a photography company that spans across Australia and Malaysia, particularly in the Sydney and Kuala Lumpur regions respectively. Though I'm not restricted to those areas! :) I love photographing just about anything under the sun, but my particular passion is for weddings and portraits - I seriously LOVE people, their stories, the beautiful relationships formed, and the tales that are told when that shutter goes off!

This blog is my personal and visual journey along this path of photography. Please hop on board the ride, comment along the way (I shamelessly love comments!), and lets see where the wind takes us :)

Jimmy and Alison: Wedding

Boy meets girl.
Boy likes girl.
Girl cringes at boy.
Boy stands by girl over the years.
Boy loves girl.
Girl opens her heart.
Girl likes boy.
Girl loves boy.

It is a proverbial story of boy meets girl. It really is. You know, where two people meet, but only one of their hearts is ready at the time. Where he likes her, but she doesn't return the sentiment. Not even slightly. "He was this shy, awkward, boy back then" was what she revealed, with a grin while looking at him with cheeky eyes... But for Jimmy? Perhaps, you could say he loved her from the start. The quiet sensitive boy, falls for the loud, effervescent, outgoing popular girl. However Alison, being the extroverted pretty social butterfly that she is, wasn't ready. And truth be told, she wanted to run in the opposite direction, because she just could not open her eyes, or want to see her childhood friend in a different light. THAT kind of light. It would just be too weird. Too awkward. Too strange. So, as life has it, they remained friends and lived their lives apart, but always in close orbit of one another. Serendipity had decided it was not yet time. Both had to grow, change, and live a little.... always being best friends, but not yet lovers.

Time, though, creates wonders. So does a measure of patience, generous morsels of persistence, and a little spoonful of help from above. With these ingredients, the boy who never really looked at anyone else in the same light as he saw Alison, won the girl. They often express themselves with each other with verbal exchanges of witty insults and banter, but I've always believed that the best kind of romances start off like that. Often vulnerable...scared and embarrassed to reveal to the world the unplugged version of who they both really are together. But underneath all that hard exterior, are deep roots of love that delve and reach to depths far beyond what anyone else can see. I know... I know, because I love my husband the same way :)

Jimmy and Alison, keep shining your beautiful, funny, and generous hearts to those around you :) I know, that while you are both moving mountains, fighting dragons in life together, you will be doing it with Alison laughing in the joyous way she knows how, and Jimmy holding her hand the same way citadels hold and protect, both having unabashed amounts of fun all at the same time. I know because you two are best friends become lovers, who know how to laugh with one another and remember to never take things too seriously. Congratulations!! xx

Here are my favourites from the day!!
(note: it rained terribly, and all day through this wedding! Weather hasn't been very kind of late!)

Alison's beautiful Rosa Clara dress (I loooooove Rosa Clara!!)

Finishing touches...

I really adored the next few frames, just before the ceremomy started...

The first time I've ever seen a groom tweet he is getting married and taking a picture of his bride coming down the isle! It was a HILARIOUS moment for everyone! :D

THIS was the image Jimmy snapped right then and there from his iPhone as she walked down the aisle!! (hope you didn't mind me borrowing this photo, Jimmy! :D )

I wish I could translate sound through my images, but FYI: Alison is an amazing singer.

Then it was off to create some portraits in between all the crazy rain!!

Ending the night with reception celebrations, and laughter :)

And, a slideshow to end!! :) I love love love the song that's playing in this clip!! :D
To those viewing this slideshow via RSS feed, you can see the slidshow HERE. Do make sure you press the 'HD' button in the bottom corner to view it in the best quality possible. It's MUCH better!! :D
