A big hi and hello to all of you out there! Thank you for stopping by Jenny Sun Photography's blog! This is my brand new blog space! So please make yourself at home, and have a good browse around. There is plenty more to come so check back often :) Just in case any of you are wondering who on earth I am, my name is Jenny Sun. I own a photography company that spans across Australia and Malaysia, particularly in the Sydney and Kuala Lumpur regions respectively. Though I'm not restricted to those areas! :) I love photographing just about anything under the sun, but my particular passion is for weddings and portraits - I seriously LOVE people, their stories, the beautiful relationships formed, and the tales that are told when that shutter goes off!

This blog is my personal and visual journey along this path of photography. Please hop on board the ride, comment along the way (I shamelessly love comments!), and lets see where the wind takes us :)

Perth Garden Wedding: Yivonne and Boon Wai

I could see the first rays of light shyly squeezing through the cracks in the blinds that morning, and as I rose from the bed to study the conditions the wedding would be basking in, I smiled. I smiled because a brilliant cobalt blue had exploded in the sky from end to end without a sliver of cloud in sight. I knew at that point, even with just 4 mere hours of sleep in my pocket, that it would be a fabulous day for two of the sweetest people to finally pledge their forevers to each other, and have the cords of life and love intertwine for the rest of their walk side by side.

And I wasn't wrong...the luster and radiance I had embraced that morning in the heavenly expanse, was only trumped by the sheer joy I witnessed in the faces of Yivonne and Boon Wai as their eyes met on that cream coloured, petal-laced carpeted isle. His smile was stretched from cheek to cheek as his mouth hung in amazement of how beautiful he thought his wife-to-be looked. And as her feet graced closer and closer to him, gracefully marching to the sea of applause from their family and friends around, her eyes just shone...they shone with an incomparable sweet delight that reflected the anticipation of what was about to unfold. That is, a union of two souls, two best friends, and two lovers hearts locked and sealed to each other for the rest of their days.

And as he ardently sang the words at the close of the night, "When I see your face, There's not a thing that I would change, Cause you're amazing, Just the way you are...." to his newly minted wife, she caught her breath in the surprise of the moment with one hand over her heart, and one hand over her mouth, as the tears slowly streamed down her smiling cheeks in unfeigned revelry and love. It was then I knew I had witnessed something truly special.

I honestly cannot express enough or adequately in words what a profound joy it is to be able to see two people who are completely and utterly in love promise their forevers to each other, and share the rapture and elation with everyone in a completely stripped-down unabashed fashion. Thank you Yivonne and Boon Wai for sharing such a special day with me.... God couldn't have put two more loving people together, and as a photographer, and then as a deep deep romantic at heart, I really couldn't have asked for more than what I got to see between you two that day.

Enjoy my favourites from your wedding day!

To everyone else! This post is a little different. I have my favourite frames from the whole day below, followed by a slideshow - the slideshow was edited and done ON THE DAY (hence there are no reception pictures). To see the reception photos, have a look at the selection I have put up just below here :)

Sorry for the overflow in images... I'm terrible at culling!! Enjoy the monster post though! ;)

Pretty little details at the Garden ceremony, right by the gorgeous Cottlesloe Beach, Perth :)

It was a very hot day, not a single cloud in sight!

We started shooting at midday. Yeah, you read right... right in the middle of the day was when we did the location shoot!!

And then, to a secret location that I happened to stumble upon while randomly driving by earlier that morning! :D It was gorrrrgeous!!

The reception was held at Duxton Hotel, that night :)

And then the night unfolded... full of nothing but deep laughter.....

And heartfelt speeches....

And tears.....

And devoted friendship.....

And sweet hugs.....

And loving kisses.....

And not to mention celebration galore!

This moment really moved me... when Boon Wai sang to Yivonne, as a surprise :) Just look at her face...

Then it was their epic first dance, which I thought was amazing! :D

And lastly, a ring shot to end the night :)

Andddd...... to finish this post for today, their SAME DAY EDIT slideshow! :D Check it out for TONNES and TONNES more pics! Like I mentioned before, these photos were edited and shown ON THE DAY, hence there were no reception photos, but you can see the reception photos above! :D
