A big hi and hello to all of you out there! Thank you for stopping by Jenny Sun Photography's blog! This is my brand new blog space! So please make yourself at home, and have a good browse around. There is plenty more to come so check back often :) Just in case any of you are wondering who on earth I am, my name is Jenny Sun. I own a photography company that spans across Australia and Malaysia, particularly in the Sydney and Kuala Lumpur regions respectively. Though I'm not restricted to those areas! :) I love photographing just about anything under the sun, but my particular passion is for weddings and portraits - I seriously LOVE people, their stories, the beautiful relationships formed, and the tales that are told when that shutter goes off!

This blog is my personal and visual journey along this path of photography. Please hop on board the ride, comment along the way (I shamelessly love comments!), and lets see where the wind takes us :)

Hui Ling and Yew Cheong: Engagement

It is always a little daunting to photograph another photographer. It's always an honor, but really, it's daunting at the end of the day. Because you know they know what you are doing, watching your moves, analyzing your methods and wondering why you are doing what you are doing. Meet Hui Ling and Yew Cheong - BOTH photographers :) Double daunting!!

Or so I thought :)

Until we chucked, giggled, laughed, and laughed some more over things I cannot even remember. But those are the best kind of sessions... where you are bursting over, chortling in stitches on so many occasions that you cannot even pinpoint or recall what was funny to begin with. While we had strange stormy weather brewing over our heads over their quick pre-wedding session with me, I absolutely loved the fact that they were willing to try, lie in a paddock littered with cow dung and insects, or trek up a long steep hill to chase the only remnant of light we had that crazy stormy afternoon. And you know what? Perseverance, boldness, and patience is always rewarded.... :D

Thank you SO MUCH Hui Ling and Yew Cheong for that gorgeous crazy afternoon! The storm and insane amount of rain started literally as soon as we shut our car doors, but I had the best time photographing you both. I hope you love some of these frames as much as I do :)

Lastly, thank you Eddie Lee for making the video montage for this session (WAIT FOR IT readers!! I'll publish it as soon as I get my hands on the final cut!).... and of course, HUGE thank you to the superbly talented and sweet makeup/hair stylist, Shinny Ong for making Hui Ling look so fabulous. Girls and brides in Malaysia - she is amazing at what she does and I cannot recommend her highly enough!!

Anyhow, onto the photos! :D Don't forget, there is a bonus slideshow at the end of this post! Enjoy!

I wasn't kidding about the storm clouds!

I really adore the next couple of frames. Can't pick which I like better :)

I nearly squealed when I saw how COOL these cufflinks were!!! Umm... yeah... I study what you brides/grooms wear in detail :P

There is a magical feel to the next couple of phtoos that I really am fond of!

OMG.... can I say AWESOME more than once? YAY to brides who bring flowers that are totally different and unique. Bye bye roses!! Hellooooo gerberas! :D

Yummy red heels!! Brides who wear funky bold shoes to their shoot or wedding day always always score more photos from me... love the expression in personality in shoes. Bye bye white pearly shoes! :D

And I know I shouldn't post as many of the photos below as I have, but I really loved them and couldn't pick a fave. We ran for this last bit of light that peeped over the hill for a very brief 10-15mins :)

Fave :D

And the slideshow.... tonnes of extra photos... and as always, with a song that I love and hold dear to in my personal collection of music :)

Photographers that trust you are better subjects - they have been on the other side of the viewfinder and the pains that goes with it.... ;-)
