A big hi and hello to all of you out there! Thank you for stopping by Jenny Sun Photography's blog! This is my brand new blog space! So please make yourself at home, and have a good browse around. There is plenty more to come so check back often :) Just in case any of you are wondering who on earth I am, my name is Jenny Sun. I own a photography company that spans across Australia and Malaysia, particularly in the Sydney and Kuala Lumpur regions respectively. Though I'm not restricted to those areas! :) I love photographing just about anything under the sun, but my particular passion is for weddings and portraits - I seriously LOVE people, their stories, the beautiful relationships formed, and the tales that are told when that shutter goes off!

This blog is my personal and visual journey along this path of photography. Please hop on board the ride, comment along the way (I shamelessly love comments!), and lets see where the wind takes us :)

Intimate Singapore Wedding: Joyce and Jimmy

The small, but intimate crowd surrounding the two on that sultry tropical day, warmly applauded. It was then that he gently wrapped his fingers under her chin, and pulled her in, close to him, for their first kiss as the newly minted husband and wife. He then lingered, letting his forehead rest against hers, and they both smiled with their eyes closed for but a brief period, but at the same time both fully immersed in the realization and appreciation of that moment...and it was palpable. So very much so. You could tell that they were delighting in the sweetness of the love shared and the love shown between them, because she then took out the white handkerchief that she has held in between her fingers, and softly dabbed at the tears that were slowly trying to escape from the corner of her eyes while shyly explaining over the lump in her throat, “I have always known he loves me, but I didn’t know just how much….until then”.

And you could see it.

The proof was left lying in the way he would quietly clasp her hands when no one would be looking. It was sprinkled across the intent gaze of pure tenderness that Joyce gave Jimmy when he was giving his thank you speech. It was laced in between the spontaneous embraces he would give her, just because. And it was dotted in radiant transparency, when his ear-to-ear smile did not leave his face, from the moment his bride walked down the aisle til the last pair of feet were ushered out that day.

You could just see it. You really could.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful solemnization with me, Joyce and Jimmy! It was SUCH a joy to witness such a small and intimate wedding, and see the real laughter, the real tears, the real embraces, and the real moments unfold between just you and your closest few J And as fellow wine connoisseurs, thank you for sharing with me your impeccably picked bubbly with you as the celebration came to a close! I hope you two have the time of your life while you trek the streets of Europe. Remember to have a glass on my behalf while you are away!! Much love!!

Enjoy my favourite frames from Joyce and Jimmy's big day, who had a gorgeously elegant and intimate wedding celebration at this beautiful Italian restaurant on Sentosa Island, Singapore. Their taste was impeccable!!

For those who are wondering....
Dresses: Carven Ong, and Lisa Ho
Suit: Giorgio Armani
Shoes: Emporio Armani (Jimmy), Steve Madden (Joyce)

You know you can't have a bad day if you start it with fabulous shoes!!

I love it when brides really think hard about styling their wedding... :)

With only 80 guests the whole day, it was a close knit event... you could tell :)

LOVE the moment felt here...

Then it was off to celebrate at the Italian Il-Lido! It was YUMMY!

This little one caught my eye...

And a quick venture out after for portraits :) I totally LOVED Joyce's french lace gown from Carven Ong!! :D

And how cute are her shoes?? :D

And some ring shots to end... not sure which one I like better... which one is your pick? :D

Here is the slideshow! For some reason, the encoding took alot of the contrast and colour out, so apologies in advance for that!! I'll get my head around this whole online slideshow/video thing someday! :D
